This picture of Obama with some German dude - taken before speaking to 200,000 people who can’t vote for him but would probably give their eye-teeth to see him elected - is inspiring to me, but not b/c I support Obama and like to see Germans support him too.
It’s inspiring b/c when I really look at the guy, I can see he’s not all that special. He’s a pretty normal, decent, educated, young-enough-to-be-relevant American. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people like him in this country. I personally know a lot of people who fit that description.
It’s exciting for me to imagine that these kinds of people might become the norm in US politics and foreign policy instead of people who look like they’d be better suited delivering mail or selling real estate.
Ecovative Design - packing materials made from mushrooms. We use recycled paper and cornstarch peanuts at elsewares.com, but if these are affordable I’d love to give them a try!
They also might taste good with some hummus.
